　door は彼女の家のドアで、別の家に住む彼が荷物をまとめて彼女の家の前まで来ている、とも考えられます。ここでは、”All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go”　との状況が、彼女と同じ家の中の別の部屋での出来事と解釈し、「君が寝ている部屋のドアの前」と訳しています。

（注2）he’s blowin’ his horn

　クラクションを鳴らしている”he”は、男性運転手と解釈しています。

（注3）I’m so lonesome I could die

　I’m so lonesome that I could die（so～that構文）の that が省略されていると解釈しています。

（注4）babe, I hate to go

　これが、ジョン・デンバーの最初のタイトルです。

　ジョンデンバーは1984年8月22日に琵琶湖を訪れ、琵琶湖周航の歌を流暢な日本語で歌っています。

John Denver, one of my favorite American artists, visited Lake Biwa on 22 August, 1984 and sung “Lake Biwa Rowing Song” in beautiful Japanese. His voice sounded to me so comfortable and suitable rather than some Japanese singers’ one.

The American Singer-songwriter loved nature, lovely scenery and warm welcome from people in Shiga, my home town. It would be fantastic if he could be joined by the local artists.
